Five Pump Houses in Kelapa Gading Ready to Face Rainy Season

The five pump houses in Kelapa Gading Sub-district, North Jakarta are ready to anticipate the upcoming rainy season. In these houses, portable pumps are alerted to overcome inundation at some points when it rains.

Kelapa Gading Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Rukmana said each pump house has three machines of pump with a capacity of 1,500 liters per second.

Genset in 20 Pump Houses will Be Certified

Those pump houses are located at Jalan Yos Sudarso, Kirana Pump House, Kelapa Gading Don Bosco Pump House, Pulo Mas Pump House and Asmi Pump House.

"All of them are under East Flow Section for Jakarta Water Resources Dept. Especially in Kelaga Gading, the pump house is operating well," he stated, Tuesday (10/10).

To overcome inundation, the 10 portable pumps with a capacity of 200 liters per second are alerted.

Those will operate if there is found inundation, such as in front of Mall Of Indonesia (MOI), Jalan RE Martadinata and Jalan Yos Sudarso.

"Then we also have dredged the connecting channels and rivers in Kelapa Gading. By so it is hoped able to minimize floods during rainy season," he closed.
